Workshop
Integrating Eye-Tracking & AI Technologies for Student Support
Date
Wednesday, 14 May 2025
Time
17:00 CEST
Location
Online
Join educators from across Europe in this interactive workshop, the first event taking place within EYE-TEACH. The aim of this workshop is to discuss how eye-tracking (ET) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools can empower educators and enable them to support students’ reading comprehension.
The workshop will be a participant-lead discussion to better understand the day-to-day needs of teachers and educators, so that the developed technology is adapted to real needs.
By participating in this training, you will contribute by sharing your thoughts, concerns, experiences and (if relevant) knowledge related to the use of eye-tracking and AI in education.
This feedback will directly inform the development of theoretical, classroom-based scenarios (“vignettes”) that will be created by the EYE-TEACH researchers. These vignettes will then be communicated to the EYE-TEACH ecosystem (our project’s network of educators and education stakeholders) across several countries in Europe. Our ecosystem will provide additional feedback by indicating which vignette best matches what they would want the tool to look like and what functionalities it should have.
No previous technical expertise is required – your perspective as an educator is what matters most.
Who should attend?
Europe-based educators (primary to tertiary levels) fluent in English
Individuals with an interest in innovative teaching
No prior experience with AI or eye-tracking is necessary
Participation is free, but registration is required. In order to ensure a representative balance between countries and the levels of education covered (primary, secondary, tertiary), participants will be selected from the registered pool and informed whether they have been selected to participate by 10 May.
